Butterfly Orchid

Phalaenopsis is also called “Butterfly Orchid” or “Moth Orchid”. When they bloom the plants are shaking as butterfly dancing. It is also called “Moth Orchid” because of the availability of blooming plants year-round. There are about fifty native species of Phalaenopsis. Most of them are grown in Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia.
Taiwan breeders take advantage of their professional knowledge and species collection to proceed manual hybridization. They ameliorate the colors and shapes of Phalaenopsis and breed a great variety of colorful Phalaenopsis. This makes Taiwan as the country of the most abundant species of Phalaenopsis. Now Taiwan is the most famous kingdom of Phalaenopsis around the world.
