Cattleya

Cattleya is a genus of 113 species of orchids from Costa Rica and the Lesser Antilles south to Argentina. It is one of the most widely varied groups on the orchid family tree. Genus include Cattleya, Brassavola, Laelia, Sophronitis, Broughtonia, Epidendrums and Encyclias. Cattleyas are among the most beautiful of orchid flowers. Often used in corsages and wedding bouquets their blooms can last several weeks to a month or more.
